Six appearances in state championship games - three in volleyball, three in hoops.
Of those, three victories - one in volleyball, two in basketball.
Kamehameha senior Micah Christenson enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Hawaii high school history and is now ready to "take his talents" from Kapalama to Southern California.
His grandfather, the late Harry Kahuanui, was a legend at UH in both football and basketball and his parents were both collegiate athletes at Hawaii-Hilo.
Seemingly, Micah Christenson was destined for athletic eminence and he's accomplished plenty.
As a sophomore in '09, Christenson helped lead Kamehameha to its first state basketball crown since 1992.
Then this past February, the 6'5" forward recorded 21-points and 10-rebounds against Iolani to repeat the feat.
Just two weeks ago, Christenson capped his prep career with another state title in volleyball, knocking off nationally-ranked and two-time defending champion Punahou by way of a sweep.
Christenson, an outside hitter, smacked down 22-kills.
That will take him to USC to play for the men of Troy on the volleyball court and with the basketball and volleyball seasons overlapping in college, Christenson says he's bidding "aloha" to hoops.
This summer he will continue his recent off-season routine of training and playing with the U.S. Junior National volleyball team and hopes to one day represent the United States in the Olympics.
Until then though, Christenson will be one of 12 student-athletes inducted into the 2011 Nissan Hall of Honor Class at a banquet, June 5 at the Sheraton Waikiki.
