UPDATE:  A teenage girl who was allegedly kidnapped has Facebook to thank for her rescue.

Mukadin Daquan Gordon, 27, is the man suspected of kidnapping the girl.

According to court documents, the girl was being held against her will in Gordon’s Waikiki apartment for nearly 24-hours over the weekend.

The girl told police Gordon wanted her to work as a prostitute.

Police say she managed to get help by sending a message to her sister through Facebook.

The sister then contacted police who found the girl and Gordon at his Waikiki apartment on Sunday.

Gordon was arrested and charged with kidnapping and promoting prostitution.

His bail is set at $500,000.
