UPDATE: A teenage girl who was allegedly kidnapped has Facebook to thank for her rescue.
Mukadin Daquan Gordon, 27, is the man suspected of kidnapping the girl.
According to court documents, the girl was being held against her will in Gordon’s Waikiki apartment for nearly 24-hours over the weekend.
The girl told police Gordon wanted her to work as a prostitute.
Police say she managed to get help by sending a message to her sister through Facebook.
The sister then contacted police who found the girl and Gordon at his Waikiki apartment on Sunday.
Gordon was arrested and charged with kidnapping and promoting prostitution.
His bail is set at $500,000.

A Waikiki man was arrested last night, accused of kidnapping his friend and forcing her to work as a prostitute.
Police arrested the 27-year-old suspect on suspicion of promoting prostitution and kidnapping.
Police say the suspect detained the 17-year-old victim against her will, threatened her, and demanded she work for him as a prostitute.
They say the victim was able to get a message to her family about her whereabouts.
Her family contacted police, located the victim and arrested the suspect at his Waikiki residence.
