There's still money left in the state's rebate program to help people buy electric or plug-in hybrid cars.

The state has about $300,000 dollars left in the EV-ready rebate program.

The rebate for consumers is $4500 dollars for the purchase of an electric vehicle...and $500 for an electric vehicle charging system.

There are also federal rebates available that would help reduce the cost of buying an electric vehicle.

Last year, rebates were given out for the purchase of 318 vehicles, and 210 charges.
