More than one in three Americans are living in households that receive government assistance like food stamps and Medicaid.

That's according to a new report done by the Mercatus Center at George Washington University.

When Social Security, Medicare and unemployment benefits are included, nearly half of the nation live in a household that receives a government check.

That's more than 148 million Americans.

I know people that hide their wealth, live in low income housing, and send their kids to private school.

Why is it no surprise that the Democrats cater to the welfare system recipients? By setting up the sheeple to remain on welfare they can control their thoughts and votes. How else could they say that they are for the people? Think sheeple, think. The slaughterhouse is not far away.

They should find a way to tax government assistance recipients since they tax unemployment benefits. I paid taxes while not working. Went back to work and glad to pay taxes meaning I'm working. Got laidoff and I am able to collect a small retirement pension from PBGC. Paying taxes on less.

something is wrong with this! people need to go back to work, but the government makes it to easy to get food stamps and free money. "why work if the government is going to pay your rent, cable, electrical, medical and car insurance" the government is only crippling people by doing this. what ever happen to no work no eat?
