INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he is disappointed in the quality of last week's Pro Bowl and changes must be considered, perhaps even dropping the game altogether.

Speaking on ESPN Radio, Goodell says this year's Pro Bowl wasn't "the kind of football we want to be demonstrating to our fans, and you heard it from the fans, the fans were actively booing in the stands."

Goodell made his remarks on Sunday, hours before the start of the Super Bowl.

Goodell has spoken to the NFL Players Association about his disappointment, adding, "We are going to either have to improve the quality of what we are doing in the Pro Bowl or consider other changes, or even consider eliminating the game if that is the kind of quality of game we are going to provide."

The AFC won the game 59-41.

I've been a fan of the NFL for over 40 years and trust me on this, NO one really cares if the Pro-bowl is dropped or not (for crying out loud it's televised even in Hawaii). Also don't think that the players care that much either. My good friend Junior Seau (remember him) told me once, "It doesn't matter to us at all, we're going to vacation in Hawaii, Probowl or NO Probowl"....So let's not cheapen Football anyfurther, do away with this nonsense UNLESS the NFL decides to PAY Hawaii, than that's another story!!!

Drop the pro-bowl and bring in the superbowl... That's the game to watch... I agree the pro-bowl was a joke.... I would rather pay to see the superbowl cause they play hardcore football and not prance around (like don't hurt me) I might break a nail.... lol

Why don't they change the game to "Touch/tag football" ? No contact and no one gets hurt. Everyone gets to watch their favorite player...Auwe!!

all so called all-star games are a joke. players just sport about showing off how good they look and not about the game because they dont want to get hurt before making the big bucks in either the rest of the season or making new contracts. players are not init for the fanis theie in it for the money all sports is about the many and fans are the ginea pigs.

All Pro Bowl’s have been exhibition games, and this year was the worst. Changes need to be made.

Was the Pro Bowl ever not a joke? As long as I can remember it's been a scorefest with no defense being played. I don't care for it but it brings in a ton of cash. It's also an hour long commercial for the state.

Goodell is right. This year's game was a joke. The players clearly didn't give a .... about the game and it was an insult to those who paid big bucks to watch it.
