Hawaiian Air flight 5 from Las Vegas delayed

Kamar obviously you weren't there and don't even have the most basic facts. I am one of HA5 passengers--freakin' delayed 18 hours--but that broken down airplane is a made-in-USA Boeing 767. The flight was to depart at 5:10PM. Shortly thereafter we were told to deplane and a part was being flown in from San Fran. At midnight we were told the flight crew could no longer serve and were bused to South Point at 1:30 AM the next day. HA knew they needed a part flown in early on but kept us suffering in the terminal for the entire evening before we were informed we were being put up at South Point Hotel. Most of us spent 9 or 10 hours waiting in the terminal. They really should have bussed us out 6 hours earlier. The repaired Boeing 767 departed 18 hours behind schedule minus one angry Korean man (he was taken away by police for screaming at the ground crew). There is a small blessing: $300 flight coupons will be issued to all HA5 passengers for our suffering and Hawaiian Air's clumsy handling of the incident.

I'm on that flight and the only reason they paid more was because the only seats available was first class seats. When I asked to change my flight to tomorrow I was told they wouldn't charge me the fee to charge my flight as long as it was a lateral change. If you wanted first class you had to pay. I commend HA 5 flight crew they've did all they could to keep us updated and they issued every passenger a $20 meal voucher for pizza hut since that was the only thing open
