Hawaii robotics teams take top honors in mainland competitions

Students from Waialua High School work on their robotics project

Robotics teams from two Hawaii high schools won big on the mainland this weekend.

Students from Waialua High School beat out 75 other teams to earn top honors at the FIRST Robotics New York regional competition.

In Massachusetts, Sacred Hearts Academy took home a win from a competition there.

Now these two teams will be heading to the FIRST Robotics National Championships in St. Louis, Missouri.
