A local architectural and design firm has come up with a first - a comprehensive guide to "green" companies here and around the world.

Whether you are looking for a solar water heater company - or one that can show you how to cool your house or business at less cost, the folks at Group 70 may have just the answer. It's an internet website that showcases green companies.

"What it is is it's going to be the world's first map-based online portal for showing off sustainability worldwide. It's going to allow companies to do sustainable products and services, to actually show not only what they do but where they've done it," said Steve Hochart.

The site is not only a commercial introduction to a number of vendors, it can also be beneficial to potential customers - let's say for someone looking at a new solar power supply for the home.

"And then it will quickly tell you how much you can save per year and then it will quickly show you a listing of all the registered solar providers in your area and then you can see actual open houses that they have featured in your vicinity so you can what other people have done and how much they've saved," Hochart.

Group 70 rightfully comes by its reputation - it walks the talk. We have done stories in the past about the company itself and its efforts to be green.

"Everyone there is dedicated to being green and being sustainable and everyone tries to bring that into the designs of the projects we do for clients as well," said Hochart.

The sustainability map is still in its infancy. During the coming month, the company will be finalizing contacts for customers. In the meantime, as you can see, Group 70 is looking for those Green companies interested in being a part of the global sustainability map.

"And right now there's a just preview video and actually over this month of August, we're going to be signing up companies and then it's going to go live to the public on September 1st at the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit," said Hochart.

You can email them at gsm@group70int.com to get the rate sheet. They have an entry level price of $19 per month. Very affordable.

Great idea, but they didn't publish a pricing schedule. I'm assuming they are not providing this service for *Love!*
