An auto theft suspect shot by police on Tuesday has been charged and taken into custody after being released from the hospital.Jeremiah Lopez was charged with a dozen crimes including first degree assault, assault on a law enforcement officer, and auto theft.
His bail was set at $200,000.
Police shot Lopez three times at Waikele Shopping Center after he rammed a police van and hit an officer.
Two people who were in the SUV with Lopez were also arrested and charged in connection with the auto theft case.
