Dad, who is full of love and laughs, needed surgery earlier this year to remove kidney stones. He was in the hospital and out of work for four days... and for a family living paycheck to paycheck, this loss of income, plus the costs of health care, was a significant financial setback for them
Dad was sick again last month and had to miss another four days of work. as a result, the family could not afford childcare for their two-year-old son.
In spite of the financial distress this family lives in, they don't receive any state or federal assistance.
If you'd like to make the holidays a little brighter.... here is their wishlist: all family members could use clothes. the 2-year old would also love an educational toy, bike, slippers or pull-ups. The 5-year old boy enjoys art, and would appreciate any art supplies. the 25-year old daughter, would love slippers or hair products. Mom and Dad are requesting the basics such as toilet paper, bath soap, toothpaste, and towels.
