It's a dream come true for many youngsters.
"We can get two of these."
The opportunity to buy anything you want in a toy store.
"Mister happy face."
But there is a catch it has to be under ten dollars.
"I think the piano is out of our range."
All 42 of these second graders from St. Ann's School in Kaneohe are buying toys to give as gifts for Lokahi children.
"I feel good cause its like having another friend that I don't know but I can at least give him a toy," said Hunter Lee.
For several years students from the school have partnered with our Lokahi Giving Project recycling to raise money to buy new gifts to donate to needy families.
"Because they don't have that much toys and stuff and they don't have enough money to buy a toy," said Brandon Sullivan.
Some tend to go a bit over budget.
"I got a puffle guitar and a yo yo and a label is that under your ten dollar limit I don't know," said Keighton Preston.
While others are learning how to spend. Wisely.
"If you get one you get two free, wait if you get two you get one free," said Adrienne Aquino.
In the end its an experience they will never forget.
"Its going to teach them how to be better people. Overall its just a wonderful thing that the school does and i am just so proud to be a part of it," said Rochelle.
