Today's Lokahi family has had their fair share of bad luck. Dad was recently laid off at his construction job.
In the hopes of finding a more secure job with better pay, he has returned to school to further his education.
The loss of income forced this family to fall behind in the rent and they're now close to being homeless.
Mom has a fulltime job but doesn't earn enough to support seven people.
Mom and dad have four children ages 4 months to 13 years.
Grandma also lives in the home and helps with childcare.
A caseworker says: "Mom worked right through her pregnancy. She never took any time off."
Mom is the sole breadwinner for this family of seven and they depend on her to get by.
If you'd like to help this family, here is their wishlist: For the four month old infant, a baby gym or gift card to Walmart. The six year old daughter would love a bike, while the 10 year-old son would love football gear. The oldest child, a 13 year old girl would love a gift card to walmart. Grandma, who also lives in the home, would appreciate a CD radio. Dad would love a drill set or gift card to sears. And mom says the family could use toiletries and food.

We want to send a big mahalo to the Gold Guys at Ward Center.
They are giving today's Lokahi family a $50 gift card for groceries.
