Hundreds of Hawaii families will receive a free Christmas tree thanks to Blue Planet Foundation, Costco, and the Lokahi Giving Project.

A total of 350 families will receive a 6 to 7 feet tall Noble Fir tree.

Beneficiaries include families served by Lokahi, Helping Hands Hawaii and HUGS.

The trees are being distributed from December 17 through December 22 at Lokahi’s Kakaako headquarters.

The Blue Planet Foundation is also donating 60 boxes of high-efficiency LED Christmas lights and recycled incandescent bulb ornaments made by students who participated in the foundation’s CFL exchange program.
