Honolulu Police are looking for Roger Peralta.

" On August 14, 2002 at 7:00 pm, officers were sent to Hamana Street on report of burglary in progress. upon their arrival there they were informed of gunshots fired and found a male with a wound to his beck. Through the statement of the victim, they found that Peralta had shot him thinking he was stealing from his garage area", explains Sgt. Kim Buffett of Crimestoppers.

But prosecutors said Peralta knew the man and that the shooting followed an argument over money and drugs.

Peralta was convicted of attempted murder, and sentenced to a mandatory minimum of 20 years in prison.

"He appealed and the appeal was turned over and he was supposed to turn himself in on july 13 and that was what the warrant was for, to serve his jail time".

Roger Peralta is wanted on a $300,000 bench warrant.

He's 46 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 170 pounds.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
