She's already pleaded guilty to numerous crimes, but Khayla Alapai didn't show up for her sentencing.
Now she finds herself on Hawaii's Most Wanted list.
Khayla Alapai is a cunning thief...Just listen to her alibi when she was caught walking out of a home with a suitcase full of someone else's stuff.
"I am visiting from the Big Island my Aunty. But the guy is not thinking anything. So when his neighbor comes home he tells the neighbor of your relatives are here from the Big Island. She says I don't have any relatives, figures out that her house has been burglarized", says Kim Buffett of Crimestoppers.
Now she's wanted for five bench warrants, totaling $100,000 cash.
"So basically she is found guilty for these offenses she needs to return to court for her sentencing. And she didn't show up on August 10, 2009."
Pinpointing this criminal has been difficult for HPD.
"We have cass from Ewa as you see all the way to Kahala. So she is basically all over the island. And normally her method of operation is that she goes and cass the houses before. And then she will go up to the door and she'll knock on the door to make sure nobody is home."
Anyone with information about Khayla Alapai is asked to call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
