On this edition Hawaii's Most Wanted, we feature a man who's wanted on two warrants in connection with an auto theft case and a drug case.
Honolulu police are looking for Dane DeMello.
"On July 26, 2006 at 5:10 p.m. a witness was coming out of her driveway and noticed a red pickup truck and a white van driving down the street and remembered that a burglary that occurred earlier had those vehicles as a possible description. So she followed the vehicles and called police," said Sgt. Kim Buffet of Crimestoppers.
DeMello was driving the stolen van, and he was arrested for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
He was also arrested three months later for promoting dangerous drugs, after police found illegal drugs in his car during a traffic stop.
He's now wanted on two $20,000 warrants in connection with those cases, for not complying with the terms of HOPE Probation.
Dane DeMello is 37-years old, 5-feet-5-inches tall, 160 pounds.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
