Honolulu police are looking for Corey Avei.
"On February 23, 2008, at 9pm a female victim was crossing the street at Kalakaua avenue at Makaloa when a male approached her from the front and grabbed her purse. he fled into the stream area," said Kim Buffett of Crimestoppers.
Soon after, officers were notified that a man who fit the description of the suspect was getting treated at an area hospital.
The victim and witnesses identified Avei, and he was arrested for robbery.
Avei is now wanted on a 20-thousand dollar warrant in connection with that case .. for not showing up to his HOPE probation warning hearing last month.
Corey Avei is 35 years old, 6 feet and 1 inches tall, and 232 pounds.
