The Occupy Wall Street movement entered its fourth week and is now reaching the state.

Folks in Honolulu hit the streets and joined the national protest for the first time.

Some aloha state residents are showing no aloha for wall street.

“My names Renee, I'm here to represent people's needs not wall street greed.”

“I'm tired of living like a slave, I want to be free.”

About 75 people gathered in Honolulu's Saturday financial district to protest what they call corporate greed.

“I'm Grace, I'm a teacher and I'm here to make sure my students have a future.”

“The slogan of the movement is “We are the 99% meaning we are the 99 and the one percent is controlling it and that's politicians and wall street bankers,” said protestor Megan Brooker.

The Occupy Wall Street movement began four weeks ago in New York City. Since then it has spread across the nation, and now the Pacific Ocean, to Hawaii.

Protestors have been organizing on the internet.

“We're going to stand up against them, against the bankers who got bailed out and we're here just to fend for ourselves and that is the greatest thing we can do because every single person is affected by this. The only ones who aren't are the less than one percent whose getting those trillions of dollars from our tax dollars,” said organic farmer and protestor Jeremy Ornellas.

The movement hit Maui Friday.

In Wailuku, residents picked up signs and raised their voices against wall street.

“This one is more about the moral standing that we're standing up as one voice,” said author and protestor Raghu Giuffer.

“I just hope that one day everyone wakes up and realizes they are part of the 99 percent and join their brothers and sisters in this protest,” said Orneallas.

“How long do you guys plan on staying?”

“Until we win, until we win.”

Participants say the protest brings people together to share their grievances with the direction America is heading, as well as share ideas on how to make the country and the world better place.

The Occupy Wall Street movement hasn't only come to Oahu and Maui. Residents on the big island and Kauai are also planning their own protests.

There are several facebook pages organizing the protestors.

Can you imagine the dramatic rise in ALL the people's quality of life across this wondrous planet when corporate corruption is a thing of the past? ...Yes it's a difficult, deep seated problem to overcome, but this revolution is very real and growing dramatically by the hour. It is well thought out, well run (by the people of the community -- we are ALL leaders), it's non violent, wholesome and healthy. You are the 99% JOIN US !!!

Why all the recent bailing from the Gov's cabunet just before the all important APEC conference? Yes, we need BS to step up and let the people know the truth as he did in the State House at the end of his House tenure.

What a farce! When are these protestors going to wake up and really make their point to the powers that be? The APEC conference will be in Hawaii next month. Will they be protesting and making their point to the world media then? I think not. It would be much worse than what was done in the middle east. They would all be carted away as terrorists and sent off to vacation at Guantánamo Bay.

We need to protest the administration of our own state government just as much as wall street because our legislatures are mismanaging our tax dollars. They are pushing through rail which will cost a minmum of 5.3 billion, they are selecting Anseldo for the job which means corruption, kickbacks and breakdowns, they are neglecting our sewer system and transporting sewage by truck, seemingly on a permanent basis, they are permitting lenient judges to remain as judges at the expense of victims and their families and we also have a governor in office who thinks he can do no wrong.

YourNeighbor wonders where the protesters will go when it's chilly? HERE!With his rats gone, anyone think N/A may panic if APEC protesters delay his agenda & declare martial law just to control protesters & the state? Read more: http://www.kitv.com/politics/29435432/detail.html#ixzz1aPUb7hxc Ask B.S.(Brian Schatz) 586-0255, or ltgov@hawaii.gov A newspaper asked the chairman of the Hawaii host committee for APEC),Peter Ho. “Is the A.P.E.C. conference is an opportunity for U.S. to listen to other countries view on international peace gas/oil management or trade issues... to learn peace that is practiced by tribes around the world? Do Global organizations/powers campaign the APEC conference for positive changes to avoid conflicts or achieve peace? Why do A.P.E.C. conferences avoid discussing peaceful elements instead of macro Economics polices/lobbies?” Obviously to; Control economics’ and oil is what nations seek after. To negotiate power/Control over resources from indigenous people who historically own the land first.

“How long do you guys plan on staying?” “Until we win, until we win.” Until you win.. What? Win a quote on TV? That's about as much as every going to happen with this protest. Just please don't make a mess and not clean up after yourselves. Ask the DOJ why they didn't (or don't) indict the wall street crooks.. could it be they did nothing illegal? Give me a break... being jealous of the rich makes about as much sense as being jealous of your boss -- gets you no where except to the drug store for Zantek. I wonder how many protesters will continue when the weather gets a little chilly...
