It came down to the very last vote, but former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has emerged as the winner in the Iowa caucuses by a mere eight votes.
Rick Santorum came in second. Both he and Romney had 25 per cent of the vote
Ron Paul came in third with 21 per cent.
