HONOLULU (AP) - Former U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie's congressional campaign committee has given $33,000 to the state Democratic Party and about $21,500 to nonprofit groups.
Federal Election Commission records filed last week show that Abercrombie's committee raised no money between April 1 and June 30.
He resigned his House seat in late February and now is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor.
Abercrombie contributed to the state party in May and June, and gave $10,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in May.
Among charities, he gave $5,500 to the University of Hawaii Foundation and $2,250 to the Manoa Valley Theatre.
The committee had nearly $240,000 on hand as of June 30. It can't be used for his current campaign.
