Hawaii's Saint Damien: A Journey of Sacrifice

Father Damien gave his life to serve the Hansen's disease patients of Kalaupapa, Molokai, dying of complications from the disease in 1889. Now 120 years later, his life's work will be honored as Father Damien will be canonized as Hawaii's first saint at a ceremony at the Vatican on October 11th. KHON2 reporter Gina Mangieri and photographer Greg Lau are covering the historic sainthood event, starting in Damien's hometown of Belgium, then on to Rome for the canonization.
