Hawaii voters have voted "yes" for the governor to appoint the members of the Board of Education.

The third printout includes 240 of 242 precincts.

Yes        205,132 (57.1%)
No         137,373 (38.3%)

I just read the final printout for this year's elections, and they might as well appoint the board, since blank votes had the highest totals in every race. It's sad to see, but I guess you people would rather be told what to think than think for yourselves.

This has already backfired Abercrombie is a liberal thinker so the prediction is that those chosen for these posts will be of the same mold. If the reverse were true (a conservative Republican governor like Aiona or Lingle) the choices would be conservative types. So for people like myself a conservative, we will be sorr for our vote.
