Public schools will be closed for at least another furlough Friday next week.
Federal judge David Ezra, who was handling two lawsuits seeking to block furlough Fridays, has removed himself from the cases.
Ezra will now oversee efforts to settle the cases with the parties out of court.
A court hearing to go over the injunction was scheduled for next Thursday, but has been moved to Monday, November 9th.
Judge Wallace Tashima of the 9th circuit court of appeals will take over the cases.
