If you're looking for a job, you may be in luck.
A number of large stores are opening this year and are planning to hire hundreds of new employees.
Walmart just opened its hiring center in Kapolei today.
Retailers typically don't hire too many new employees right after the holidays, but Walmart is an exception.
And many other companies are also looking for applicants at an upcoming job fair.
Walmart's new Kapolei store is coming along at the corner of Farrington Highway and Makakilo Drive.
This is what it should look like when it's finished.
The company hopes to open the store this spring, and is looking to hire 300 employees.
"Those positions will encompass all kinds of job opportunities from management opportunities to cashiers to stocking overnight shifts, and both full and part time," said Amelia McLear, Walmart Public Affairs Senior Manager.
Walmart just opened a hiring center above Starbucks at Kapolei Parkway Shops -- 338 Kamokila Boulevard.
It's open weekdays 8am-5pm.

The company won't tell us what starting pay is, but...
"As of October 31, 2011 the average wage for a regular full time hourly associate in Hawaii is $14.54/hour," said McLear.
Walmart is also hiring 70 additional employees for its Pearl City store as part of its remodeling project.
Walmart is one of the 130 companies signed up to participate in the Job Quest job fair next week Wednesday, January 18 at the Blaisdell Center from 10am to 3pm.
Success Advertising Hawaii is one of the main sponsors.
"We're having more companies that are hiring but also hiring for more positions which is even better," said Beth Busch, Success Advertising Hawaii President.
Other companies that'll be hiring en mass this year include the new Target store in Kailua, which is currently under construction.
Target plans to hire up to 300 new team members, and will announce open positions about 14 weeks before the grand opening, which is scheduled for this October.
And over in Ewa, the new Laulani Village Shopping Center, at the corner of Fort Weaver Road and Keaunui Drive, is also under construction.
Anchor tenant Safeway, and second largest store City Mill, will both be looking to hire as they get closer to opening.
December unemployment numbers aren't out yet, but Hawaii had a 6.5% unemployment rate in November.
