HONOLULU (AP) - Sales of Oahu houses and condominiums were up last month and sold more quickly compared to last year.
According to November statistics released Wednesday by the Honolulu Board of Realtors, there were 251 single-family homes sold last month, a 1.2 percent increase from 248 compared to the same month last year.
Condo sales increased by 5.4 percent with 333 units sold, compared to 316 in Nov. 2010.
The board says properties sold at a quicker pace in November compared to a year ago, with homes listing for 35 days and condos listing for 42.
The median price for island houses last month was $580,000, up 1 percent from last November. The median price for condos was $295,000, a 5.4 percent decrease.
