Twenty local nonprofit organizations got a big boost from Bank of Hawaii employees.

After a five week collection campaign, employees, retirees and directors from the bank pledged more than $520,000. That money was distributed among non-profits selected by the employees.

Aloha United Way received the biggest gift of more than $100,000.
