You can call her a "traffic nerd."
Tammy Mori rejoined KHON2 News in January 2011, after serving three years as Spokeswoman for the State Department of Transportation (DOT).
It was during her tenure at the DOT where her passion for transportation grew. She helped with programs such as the GoAkamai Traveler Information Website, the Freeway Service Patrol, and safety initiatives such as Click It Or Ticket and the Ignition Interlock. She hopes to bring back the aloha on our roadways, make daily commutes more bearable and enjoyable, and help people get home safely.
Tammy's television career began while attending the University of Washington. She started as a reporter and photographer in Yakima, Washington. Then in 2006, she joined the KHON2 News Team as an evening and weekend reporter.
During her spare time, you can probably find her in the water or in the mountains. She loves surfing, hiking and kayaking. Tammy also enjoys cooking, teaching yoga classes, traveling, and hanging out with her puppy "Sushi."
