John has been part of the KHON2 Sports team since 1995.
After getting his start broadcasting high school football games, he joined KHON as a sports reporter and anchor.
During his time on the staff, John has become best-known for his sports challenge feature, "Go Johnny Go."
John is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools where he lettered in track and football.
He then walked onto the University of Hawaii football team where he earned a full athletic scholarship as a slot back, and went on to help the Rainbow Warriors to it’s first ever WAC Championship and Holiday Bowl victory over Illinois in 1992.
Following his senior season John was selected to play in the Hula Bowl college all-star game.
John has a wife and three children. In his spare time, he loves to watch movies with them, and take them swimming.
And since 1996, serves as the sideline analyst for live radio broadcasts during UH Warrior home games.
