Hawaii's most watched television newscaster anchors nightly Hawaii's World Report at 5:30pm, as well as Hawaii at Six and Hawaii at Ten.

Joe has been a familiar face on Hawaii television since 1969, when he returned to the islands following two tours of duty in Vietnam as an Army journalist with the 25th Infantry Divison and a newscaster with the American Forces Vietnam Network in Saigon.

Joe attended Aiea High School for three years as a member of the Class of 1965.  Before enlisting in the Army to serve in Vietnam, he attended the University of Maryland for two years, majoring in communications and history.

Joe has written and starred in a wide variety of plays, performed as fundraisers for local non-profit organizations. Those include: The Pacific Aviation Museum, The University of Hawaii Theatre Department, Diamond Head Theatre, Manoa Valley Theatre, Aloha United Way and The Pacific Foundation for Cancer Research.

He has also starred in two feature films made in Hawaii: "Moonglow" and "Goodbye Paradise", and acted in a number of island based television series, including:"Hawaii Five-O",  "Magnum P.I.",  "Jake and the Fat Man ",  "Tour of Duty" and "One West Waikiki".
