KHON2 reported in May that the state Department of Transportation (HDOT) is looking at ways to help ease congestion on Meheula Parkway, which is the only way drivers can access the H-2 Freeway.
HDOT says that nearly 1,300 vehicles use the H-2 town-bound on ramp during the busiest time of the morning rush hour.
Some solutions being discussed are adding a second lane to the H-2 on ramp or adding a new left turn lane that would join the on ramp from Mililani Town.
HDOT will be holding a public informational meeting to discuss the findings of the traffic study analyzing existing traffic conditions, address community concerns, and to answer questions.
